Katy Perry, que está nesta semana no Rio de Janeiro, vem na sequência com quadro indicações, três delas por "Wide Awake" e uma por "Part of Me". "Wide Awake" é um dos concorrentes ao prêmio principal, de Vídeo do Ano, ao lado de Rihanna ("We Found Love"), Drake ("Take Care"), M.I.A. ("Bad Girls") e Gotye ("Somebody That I Used To Know").
Beyoncé, Coldplay, Frank Ocean e M.I.A. são alguns dos artistas lembrados com três indicações, à frente de outros pesos pesados da indústria musical como Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Lana Del Rey e Demi Lovato.
